Venezuela's government expelled Israel's ambassador and said the country's leaders should be tried for war crimes after more than 700 Palestinians were killed by fighting in the Gaza Strip. Some personnel at the embassy in Caracas also must leave, Venezuela's foreign ministry said in a statement. President Hugo Chavez said yesterday that Israel's fight against Hamas was 'genocidal' and had the support of President George W. Bush. 'If there’s any shame in the world, the president of Israel should be taken to the International Criminal Court along with the president of the United States,' Chavez said today in comments broadcast by state television.
